Intelligent Lighting Management System {LMS}
Scorpions Services proposes a unified Lighting Management System that turns lighting from a set of fixed electrical circuits into a responsive, measurable and centrally managed building service. The platform connects luminaires, LED drivers, sensors, wall controls, control panels, gateways, meters and software across internal spaces, exterior areas, covered parking and open-air parking.
Design objective: the correct light, in the correct area, at the correct time and level, while maintaining safety, comfort, flexibility and measurable energy performance.
Inside the building
- LED panels, downlights, linear lights
- Corridors, stairs, lobbies, amenities
- Offices, meeting, retail, service areas
- Occupancy, daylight and wall controls
- Dimming, scenes, schedules, local override
Outside the building
- Façade, canopy, entrance, signage
- Landscape, pathway, bollards, floodlights
- Perimeter and security lighting
- Astronomical clock and photocell
- Weatherproof controllers and cabinets
Covered / indoor parking
- Bay, aisle, ramp, pedestrian lighting
- Entrance, exit, payment zones
- Occupancy zoning, directional logic
- CO/NO2 and ventilation coordination
- Emergency-light monitoring interface
Open-air parking
- Pole, mast, canopy, solar-ready lights
- Drive lanes, bays, pedestrian crossings
- EV charging and bus/taxi zones
- Photocell, schedule, motion boost
- Cabinet metering and fault alarms
Core Capabilities
- Central graphical monitoring and control by building, floor, room, parking zone, façade and outdoor area
- Automatic control by occupancy, daylight, schedules, astronomical clock, scenes and BMS/EMS signals
- Individual, group, zone or circuit-level control
- Alarm, failure and communications monitoring; runtime, energy and trend reports
- Open integration: DALI-2, KNX, BACnet/IP, Modbus, MQTT/REST/API, dry contacts
- Scalable for future floors, buildings, luminaires and parking extensions
Control Hierarchy
- Management: server, web and mobile clients, dashboards, reports
- Supervisory: automation server, IP controllers, BMS/EMS gateways
- Area / panel: DALI routers, KNX actuators, relay/dimmer panels
- Field: luminaires, drivers, sensors, keypads, meters, contacts
Critical schedules and area control continue locally if the head-end server or network is unavailable.
Intelligent Sequences of Operation
| Strategy | Sequence |
|---|---|
| Occupancy control | Auto-on, manual-on or vacancy control; adjustable timeout; neighboring-zone pre-lighting |
| Daylight harvesting | Continuous dimming of perimeter groups to an approved target, with deadband and slow fade |
| Scheduling | Weekday, weekend, holiday, event and seasonal calendars with timed after-hours extension |
| Scene control | Named scenes: work, presentation, welcome, retail, façade, night, cleaning, security |
| Astronomical control | Sunrise/sunset with seasonal offset and photocell validation for exterior lighting |
| Parking logic | Background level plus motion boost, directional pre-light, security minimum |
| Demand response | Reduces non-critical lighting by approved percentages while preserving safety |
| Fault response | Alarms for missing device, driver failure, bus fault, panel trip; local fallback schedule |
Connected Equipment
